31! Thirty doesn't seem so bad now that it's over. Without 29 on the other side of me, I am most completely IN my '30s. What a long, horrible, challenging, changing, core-shaking year it was. I lost my sense of security, friends, hope, faith, confidence and momentum. I gained perspective, freedom, resilience, experience, renewal, purpose and clarity. Silly birthday splash pages are up on Erica Jackson.com and I'mErica Online. Get 'em while they're hot! Speaking of hot, here was the first birthday card, received yesterday: The Weinermobile and San Francisco -- two of my favorite things. James not only wished me a happy birthday, but he made me a whole year younger, bless him! Ana is the first to wish me a Happy Birthday on the actual day, as she is in London and hours ahead of everyone else. Dorothy is having something delivered, I can't wait to see what that is. I wanted to avoid last year's no-show and belly-dancing fiasco, and so I made no plans this year. I'm meeting a few friends after work and keeping it low key.
